MC5 komt na 51 jaar met nieuw studio-album

MC5 brengt na maar liefst 51 (!) jaar een nieuw studio-album uit. Dat heeft frontman Wayne Kramer gezegd. 

“Nonstop touring, especially the last decade, I’ve come to understand that the music of the MC5 is as necessary as ever. It’s definitely high time to write and record new songs and to carry a message of uncompromising hard rock to fans around the world", aldus Kramer.

Het nieuwe album gaat 'Heavy Lifting' heten. De titeltrack is een samenwerking met Tom Morello van Rage Against the Machine.

'Heavy Lifting' komt uit in oktober.
