Foals brengt op 17 juni nieuw album uit 'Life Is Yours'

Foals neemt een nieuwe wending met hun 7e album 'Life Is Yours', dat op 17 juni verschijnt via Warner Records. Het is de opvolger van het triomfantelijke, tweedelige album, 'Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost', dat een hoogtepunt bleek te zijn in de carrière van de band. Het resulteerde niet alleen in hun allereerste Britse #1 album, maar leverde hen ook hun eerste BRIT Award op voor 'Beste Groep'. Foals is net aangekondigd als headliner op Latitude en heeft over heel Europa shows gepland deze zomer. Op een Belgische datum is het voorlopig nog even wachten.

Zanger Yannis Philippakis over het album: “I feel that with ‘Everything Not Saved…’ we touched upon all of the facets of our sound up until that point. This time we wanted to find a new way to express ourselves. We wanted to refocus and do something that shared a DNA throughout the songs: a physicality, a danceability, and with energy and joyousness. It’s definitely the poppiest record we’ve ever made.”

Van 'Life Is Yours' kwamen al 2 singles uit: Wake Me Up & 2AM.
